Our informational picket was inspiring, with community members and workers coming together with a clear message. Sparrow Caregivers deserve a FAIR contract.
This week we had two additional bargaining sessions, and we remain far from an agreement. Our Employer continues to propose cuts to our health insurance and wages that remain far from what we need to address the cost-of-living increases in recent years. On top of that, the Employer refuses to even engage us in meaningful discussions on the excessive use of agency nurses, security concerns, and retirement contributions. It is time for our Employer to understand that we are demanding change. To make that clear, we will be holding a strike authorization vote, with sessions taking place in-person from December 4th to December 11th.
