August 30 2024 Bargaining Update

It’s been a productive week at the bargaining table. Both sides passed initial non-economic proposals and counter proposals have begun. Our team shared our experiences in the workplace as well as some of the concerns that you, as members, have shared with us.

Last night, our Bargaining Action Team (BAT) leaders, Jackie Walker and Susan Butler, held a great kickoff with amazing turnout and a lot of great discussions.

The BAT team plays an important role in negotiations, making sure each unit is represented. Future meetings will be at St. Luke Church, very close to the hospital.  The next meeting is Sept. 12.

We are also asking for volunteers to do tabling at the hospital to reach fellow members. If you can spare 90 minutes on an upcoming Friday, please sign up today by clicking here!

Solidarity is what will help us all win a great contract, and we’re so glad to see the badge ribbons everywhere we go! We reached 60% of members getting ribbons and we hope to meet our goal of 70% next week. In the photo contest, our winning entry for most members in a photo was Rehab Unit Therapy; 10W-Medical ICU won for most creative photo.

Your PECSH-MNA team will be back at the table Tuesday. We look forward to keeping you up to date!

P.S.

Congratulations to Miya Loudermilk, RN, from 9 West, who won our Facebook contest to guess PECSH-MNA’s birth date! The answer is Aug. 3, 1987.
