As planned, we continue to work on non-economic issues first in the process. The team had more productive conversations with the employer this week, especially around health and safety issues that we and fellow PECSH-MNA members have experienced firsthand.

 

We expressed concern not just for ourselves and our colleagues, but for patients and the community as well. Even though talks didn’t yield immediate agreement, we felt the employer heard us and our concerns.

 

We will be back at the table Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

 

Our strength and solidarity as a union is clear both to us and the employer, and we need to keep growing that to get the contract we all deserve.
